An Appeal To The People of Massachusetts:

1/19 update: A stunningly large margin of victory for Scott Brown.  Thank you Massachusetts.  Scott Brown was behind in the polls by 9 points just two weeks ago and won by 7.  A huge margin, especially given that registered Democrats outnumber registered Elephants in Mass. by 3 to 1.  And this wasn't just about the healthcare bill.  This was the voting public's disgust with Obama and his betrayal of those who crossed party lines to help elect him just over a year ago.  Here's a quote from an AP newswire article covering the election:  "'I voted for Obama because I wanted change. ... I thought he'd bring it to us, but I just don't like the direction that he's heading,' said John Triolo, 38, a registered independent who voted in Fitchburg."   The anti-Obama revolution is now in full swing.  He promised sweeping Change but has delivered nothing more than George W dressed in drag.

1/18 update:  Yesterday Obama said in his campaign for Coakley speech the people should vote for Coakley because:   “Bankers don’t need another vote in the United States Senate -- they’ve got plenty.”  THIS is coming from the man who's largest campaign contributer was Goldman Sachs.  THIS is coming from the man who has more bankers enlisted as advisors and in his cabinet than you'll find at a Friday happy hour in downtown NYC.

That comment should get "duplicitous statement of the year award" because Wall Street's best friend is the man who made the comment.  Not only could Obama have stopped the TARP money that financed huge bonuses, but he could have stopped the bonuses from being paid.

Please vote for the Republican candidate.  The Healthcare Bill is nothing more than one massive transfer of wealth from the taxpayers to BigPharma, Big Hospital Corporations and Big Insurance.  Here's an example:  there are 50 million uninsured in this country - the Bill requires everyone to buy insurance - if you can't afford it, the Government (read:  YOU the Taxpayer) will pay for it.  That's 50 million more insurance premium payments per month for the insurance industry. Most of that tab will be picked up by the Taxpayer since most people who are uninsured are uninsured because they can't afford it.  Forget about all the Constitutional violations in this Bill.  Follow the money:  Big Pharma has spent $100's of millions in advertising to support this legislation.  Ultimately they will be paid back in spades with your money.

PLEASE VOTE REPUBLICAN THIS WEEK AND STOP THE HEALTHCARE BILL - IT IS A CRIME AGAINST HONEST TAXPAYING AMERICANS.

  1. WHO DAT SAINTS!!!!!!!
    45-14, unreal.

Here in massachusetts there are Scott Brown signs all over the place. He gets 3 votes from my house alone!

    Dave,
pull up the newest Vicki Kennedy commercial here in mass; she says the senate seat is not the kennedy seat but the peoples' seat which Scott Brown said last week in a debate with Coakley. How sad is it to use your opponents best lines for your own?

  2. Hey gyc! I went and did a bunch of errands after the score was 21-7.

According to publicpolicypolling.com the race is pretty much a dead heat. ppp is considered to have non-partisan, very accurate polling.

Will be interesting. I can't imagine Obama's presence there today helped Coakley LOL.

  3. BOTH CANDIDATES STINK! THE TWO PARTIES STINK!. DO NOT VOTE FOR THE STANDARD BEARERS OF EITHER PARTY. UNTIL WE STOP ALLOWING OURSELVES TO GET PING PONGED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN BETWEEN WRETCHED REPUBLICANS AND DESPICABLE DEMOCRATS WE WILL MAKE NO PROGRESS, NONE, ZERO, ZILCH, NADA!!!

AND NOW A WORD OR TWO ABOUT THE CANDIDATES:

COAKLEY IS A KOOL-AID DRINKING, AIR HEADED HACK, and SCOTT BROWN INSULTS MY INTELLIGENCE WITH RUBBISH CLAIMS SUCH AS "I AM FOR COMMON SENSE" and "I WILL CHANGE THE CULTURE OF D.C."

    HA!

IF THAT WERE THE CASE, BROWN WOULD HAVE SAID I (HAVE AND DO) SUPPORT TERM LIMITS, CAPS ON ELECTION SPENDING, AND SHORTENED ELECTIONS. HE WOULD HAVE ASSERTED THAT THE WAR ON TERROR IS A CROCK OF UNMITIGATED &^%$!!!!. AND HE WOULD HAVE BEEN EMPHATIC THAT ANOTHER TWELVE OR THIRTEEN KEY CHANGES MUST HAPPEN TO BEGIN CHANGING THE FETID D.C. CULTURE.

NOW THAT I PONDER IT, I SAY VOTE FOR COAKLEY AND YOU STAND AN EXCELLENT CHANCE OF BRINGING THE ENTIRE CRAPULOUS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OBSCENITY DOWN THAT MUCH FASTER. NOW THAT MIGHT BE WORTH A VOTE!

    I COULD GO ON!

P.S. IF I HAVE OFFENDED ANYONE, I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE. BUT I MEAN EVERY WORD I HAVE SAID, AND I DEFY ANYONE TO ARGUE SUCCESSFULLY AGAINST WHAT I'VE WRITTEN.

  4. EDWARDO,

  5. LOL. The political situation is raising everyone's level of agitation. The fact of the matter is that the fact this race in MA is even close like this tells you people don't want the healthcare bill and, even bigger, they are done with Obama. 2010 will be a complete wipeout for the Demos and we'll have glorious gridlock in DC until Obama gets tossed out in 2012.

Sounds like if the turnout among Demos is a bit light, Brown has more than a puncher's chance of winning, as independents will vote for him.

Can't believe SD blew it today. Norv Turner is pathetic. Same w/fatman Wade Phillips.

  6. Let's see--Obama-former State Senator from Illinois--his legasy is a bankrupty Illinois--

Emanuael--he was on the Board of Fannie when Fannie was not filing financials--and earned big bucks--

Summers--took 5 mik from a hedge fund in 08--but also was instrumental in the 1.4-1.8 bil derivative loss at Harvard

    great resumes, huh?

Keep on blaming it on the past administration boyz.

  7. edwardo,

I agree politics is a sick joke on humanity. However, we are now way past the point of no return and full collapse in inevitable.

I welcome collapse only because I am sick of the corruption and it's the only way to rid ourselves of these parasites.

  8. To Dave, and the rest of your like minded readers. Regarding the following statement from you, Dave:

Please vote for the Republican candidate. The Healthcare Bill is nothing more than one massive transfer of wealth from the taxpayers to BigPharma, Big Hospital Corporations and Big Insurance. Here's an example: there are 50 million uninsured in this country - the Bill requires everyone to buy insurance - if you can't afford it, the Government (read: YOU the Taxpayer) will pay for it. YOU REALLY DO NOT GET IT.

By all means, vote against Coakley so as to kill the present incarnation of the health care (non) reform bill. But when you do, you had better know that the Republicans are simply going to give you a slightly differently contoured beast whose beating heart pumps blood supplied by the insurance and big pharma industries. Until you understand that the two parties are simply fighting over who gets to be the deliverer of the sheep-that would be you and me- for corporate shearing, we are nowhere. Brown is a bum, and Coakley is a hack, and neither one will change a damn thing except the paint on the side of the ship of state.

  9. @edwardo. I do get it but my view is more about playing the odds. if coakley gets elected the HCB gets passed with flying colors as is. on the other hand, if Brown gets elected, there's a chance it will create gridlock and prevent any major legislation for the balance of obama's presidency.

in my view, the Mass vote isn't just about healthcare, it's a POWERFUL message to Congress that the people of this country no longer support obama's agenda. i really think if brown wins, obama becomes a 3 year lame duck.

Obama's agenda does not markedly differ from Bush's agenda on treatment of the financial services and big banking industry, the functioning of the U.S. military, foreign policy, TWOT, and executive privilege. As for the Obama health care (non) reform, the Republicans are simply fighting over the spoils of delivering forty million Americans into the clutches of the unchastened Insurance and Big Pharma industries.

The only POWERFUL message "they" are going to get in D.C. is that the voter is still willing to perform the function of the ball in the national game of political (two party cartel) ping pong.

  11. The world misses Stanley Kubrick.

Edwardo, we're both on the same page. I've been saying for over 6 months now that the only difference between W and O is that at least w/W he never lied about what he was about. He made sure everyone knew he was the guy pushing the buttons and never made any pretenses that he wasn't going to bend us over and bone us up the ass. Obama, on the other hand, is trying to smooth it in our backdoor but somewhere along the line he stopped using lube.

No question the Govt is now fully controlled by the banks and big industries. But at least w/Massachussets today Obama will see that we hate him now.

  14. " From now on, it will be harder for Obama. Congressional support is essential to the political process and in the current political atmosphere in the U.S. - in which the parties are especially polarized - Netanyahu can rely on Republican support to thwart pressure on Israel."

    Happy?

That utube Jesse posted about the Brown victory is awesome. It could be considered humor but the fact is it's spot on.

  16. Most people would not understand why you are saying that and by the time they do understand it, it will be too late for them to do anything about it...

I'm starting to think about the possibility of moving out of the country sometime in the future before it is too late...
