My legislation is simple. It establishes that airport security screeners are not immune from any US law regarding physical contact with another person, making images of another person, or causing physical harm through the use of radiation-emitting machinery on another person. It means they are subject to the same laws as the rest of us.Here is a link to this announcement from Congressmen Paul's website: Daily Paul
I have to say that ever since the Government handed over our Rights to the Transportation Security Administration, I have spent a LOT less money travelling by airplane. I'm sure many others have as well. Just another example of our Randian/Orwellian Goverment telling us how to live and controlling our lives.
Thank You again Congressman Paul.
On another note, I almost had to have my blood checked to see if anyone had slipped LSD into my Starbucks tall latte, extra hot this afternoon after I saw this headline: "Palin says she could defeat Obama in 2012." Here's a link to the story ROFLMAO. I have two comments regarding that: 1) If she's the best the Republicans can put on the table, then we're in for another really long, brutal second term of Obama; 2) Saturday Night Live will likely be all over this on Saturday.
with no dog in that fight at all, i must admit that I had said even before the previous election that that the repub licans were throwing the election by putting two candidates from weak electoral state on a ticket. i also said shortly thereafter that she is probably the only candidate he'd be able to beat, no mattter how bad his admin would be (and it was looking to be a horribel one even in the first month). but i'm not so sure now...neither party will be receiving my vote, but i'm not so sure obama could beat paliln right now. wow...that's how sad our country is. then again, i wouldn't want to be president now (nor do what it takes to be considered).

I thought it was just me! I'm a registered conservative but this women simply grates on me. She's an intellectual lightweight knows nothing about political debating (I thought Biden had her for lunch 2 years ago) and is way too caught up in herself. I'll give her this: she's probably abit sharper in handling questions than she was 2 years ago but she's starting from rock bottom. If you want a laugh google "prank French President" and you'll see how she handles herself when she thought she was talking to the French President. She's a little flirty 16 year old girl who hasn't grown up. How could I trust her when we face such difficult times ahead especially from abroad? Say what you want about Obama (and I have my own misgivings) but she wouldn't be able to hold a candle to this guy. At least he's poised, extremely bright and has a presence. I'm with ya. I just don't get it. If the Republicans pick her how am I going to defend her in the poll booth?
ReplyDeleteSaturday Night Live is still on?
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO. Ya. It's not very good and I never watch except when Tina Fey does a Palin skit, which are priceless.
ReplyDeletefrom my perspective, the repubs would be fools to have taken office during this time. they know better. this is going to go down in history (popular history) as one of the worst administrations of the US, because of what events were taking place. again, events that were set in motion decades ago, and people have just been kicking the can to the next admin. well, the can got run over near the end of the bush admin and now they're just kicking at air. if i were back in washington, i'd be LOVING being the opposition. i can't say the same for being in the current admin (no matter whether they were dems or repubs that won the last election). hence my belief that the repubs threw the election and might do the same in '08.

ReplyDeletePalin took on the Ben Bernank. Even if it was a populist stunt. I will only vote for candidates who promise to audit the Fed. I will vote over that candidate for one who promises to try to abolish the Fed.
If Sarah makes these promises, and no one else does, I will vote for her. We must all take this pledge. If they fail us, we will vote them out.

God Bless Ron Paul as someone who cares and is not" bought and paid for."
