Barack Obama recently made the following statement to American families that are struggling to survive in this economy: "If you’re a family trying to cut back, you might skip going out to dinner, or you might put off a vacation." A few days after making that statement Obama sent his wife and children off on yet another vacation, this time to a luxury ski hotel in Vail, Colorado...
Here's the link - steady Obama supporters should read this slowly and carefully: LINK The only HOPE Obama delivered is his family's hope to live 4 years like aristocrats. Enjoy it while it lasts, Barack...

His motto: not "change you can believe in" but "do as I say, not as I do"
ReplyDeleteDave,
ReplyDeleteWhat is your opinion if any on Golden Minerals (AUMN). I owned call options on it when it exploded most recently that I sold for a healthy profit. I am thinking of opening a position in the stock though and wanted to know if you had any opinion on it. Everything I have read and found on it seems like it is clearly undervalued.
JD, I actually have never looked at AUMN. I think that's the company that's based in Golden, CO.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a bit of a blind pool but the guy running it seems to be someone who knows what he's doing.
"Enjoy it while it lasts, Barack..."
ReplyDeleteActually the sad thing is, most ex-presidents make huge bank after they're out of the white house.
Ya that's true and he's a bigger whore than Clinton was...W doesn't need to rake anything in and he's too stupid to exploit it anyway lol
ReplyDeleteFor one thing, its only recently that Presidents have made serious money after leaving the White House. Any light reader of history will know that Presidents have often left office deep in debt.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, while I am no fan of any particular party or leader, is it wrong for a man who has the means to send his family on vacation to do so? Dave-in-Denver (I greatly admire your blog and work), you've made so many comments on people and what they can and cannot do, should and should not do (and I actually agree with all of it), but you don't have to follow that advice because you've been good with your money and used your brains.
So is it really wrong for President Obama to have that same freedom? He became President and can afford to send his family on vacation. Is that wrong? At the same time, he is espousing some ideas to people how have less on how they can possibly save money etc. I don't see what is wrong in what he did in this particular case.
A leader should lead by example - not "do as I say, not as I do." And the taxpayer not only foots the bill for the his family to go BUT the expense incurred by the Taxpayer for the security involved makes that trip astronomically expensive.
ReplyDeleteIs if right for the taxpayers who can't afford to go on vacation to have to pay for the Obama family to take a lavish vacation in Vail? I think not.
Obama is living like an aristocrat - LET THEM EAT CAKE...
